softener water system Water purification would be the removal of calcium, magnesium, and certain other metallic cations in difficult water. The resulting soft water requires soap for the exact same cleaning effort, as soap is not wasted mopping up calcium ions. Soft water also extends the life of plumbing by decreasing or eliminating scale build-up in pipes and fittings. Water softening is usually achieved using lime softening or ion-exchange resins. The presence of certain metal ions like calcium and magnesium principally as bicarbonates, chlorides, and sulfates in water causes many different issues. Tough water contributes to the buildup of limescale, which can foul plumbing, and encourage galvanic corrosion. In industrial scale water softening plants, the effluent flow in the re-generation process can precipitate scale which can interfere with sewage systems. The slippery feeling experienced when using soap with soft water occurs because soaps tend to bind to fats in the surface layers of epidermis, making soap molecules hard to remove by simple dilution. By comparison, in hard-water regions, the rinse water contains calcium or magnesium ions which form insoluble salts, effectively removing the remaining soap in the skin but potentially leaving a coating of insoluble stearates on bath and shower surfaces, commonly referred to as soap scum. Which of those effects is considered more or less desired varies from person to person, and people who dislike the sliminess and problem of washing off soap brought on by soft water can harden the water by adding chemicals such as baking soda, calcium chloride, or magnesium sulfate. THERE ARE POTENTIALLY UNHEALTHY CONTAMINANTS IN YOUR WATER YOU DON'T WANT IN YOUR BODY The safe drinking water act of 1974, that assesses the standard of water which you are lawfully permitted to escape your tap, regulates less than 100 water contaminants. No matter how the EPA estimates there are approximately 60,000 substances in the US at the moment. Just consider all the medications and prescriptions we take, then pass through our system, then wind up back into our drinking water unregulated. The purpose is not to scare you, simply to educate you about how we have been helping people improve their water by making it healthier. To reduce contaminants from your water up to 98% we have high excellent Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter systems accessible along with our dedicated service and maintenance. In addition, we offer sediment filters, carbon filters (to eliminate chlorine and odors), Ultraviolet Lights (to destroy living organisms), and sometimes even Water Ionizers to give alkaline water. Advanced Water Solutions is locally owned and run by Jay Hellenbrand, CWS-V, CI with more than 20 years in the water treatment industry. Jay's expertise comes in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, field service, and retail sales. Advanced Water Solutions has been serving the central coast since 1997. Our continued growth and growth is a result of our commitment to providing the highest quality products backed with the best customer services. We have a group of highly qualified installers and service technicians. We support and maintain all brands and models of water treatment equipment. Serving both residential and business markets in Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties, AWS includes a complete line of whole-house filters, water softeners, drinking water systems, water coolers, insta-hot water manufacturers, inline water chillers, filters and more. Supplying high efficiency water softeners with chlorine reduction and reverse osmosis systems is a priority for Advanced Water Solutions. Many elderly softeners are ineffective and use enormous amounts of salt and water no longer meeting California Efficiency Standards. Our systems far exceed the new efficiency standards with less salt or water and potassium. The conventional reverse osmosis system utilizes up to 80% more water than the new Advanced Reserve Osmosis System. Advanced Water Solutions is a member of the Santa Barbara and Ventura Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Water Quality Association (WQA). In March of 2011 AWS was recognized as a Hall of Fame Member using the BBB to get a list of no complaints. Jay Hellenbrand is a certified Water Specialist, Accredited Installer, and has specialization certifications in Reverse Osmosis, Deionization, Filtration, and Ultra filtration. Jay also carries a California State Contractors License. Learn More - softener water system
